I just received an email from my investment banker saying that the Dow Jones Industrial rose more than 140 points to snap the 3 day slide in the Dow. This is likely because of great news that home sales earnings actually rose in the last quarter. Good news for us and in Boulder, Colorado lets hope that we see this trend continue. “Let’s Bag Hunger” Open House

It is saddening to me that we have people in Boulder, Lafayette, Louisville and the surrounding Boulder County area that cannot afford to properly feed themselves and their families.  One of the non-profit organizations that I donate some of the profits from my Boulder Real Estate business to is Community Food Share.

Community Food Share is the food bank for about 63 agencies in Boulder and Broomfield county that include soup kitchens, emergency assistance programs, senior programs, shelters, child care centers and agencies serving disabled citizens, the mentally ill, low-income working poor and at-risk youth.

Typically, open houses for luxury homes feature food, refreshments, giveaways, etc. for people who attend but I felt that is a great opportunity during the food drive week for this boulder luxury home open house to promote Community Food Share!

For every Boulder real estate agent that attends the open house for this boulder luxury house, I will be funding the purchase of 10 bags of groceries .. and of course every Boulder real estate agent is encouraged to bring cans of food.
